In a strategic collaboration, EVPassport partnered with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2022 to create a reliable Level 2 charging solution. They set out to provide a seamless charging experience for their patrons while aligning with the airport’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has continuously worked towards lowering their carbon footprint and achieve net-zero GHG emissions for the Aviation Department electricity use by the year 2030. While their team previously explored a variety of charging solutions, none were offering the reliable and easy-to-use experience they were interested in providing for their patrons.
EVPassport began working with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on their goals and installed 14 chargers across two of their terminals as a test pilot. Nestled within the bustling terminals, EVPassport focused on upgrading the driver’s charging experience and aligning with the airport’s standard of customer service.
Leveraging EVPassport’s hardware and software, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has seen successful adoption of the charging stations and increased utilization over the past year.
The collaboration also directly supports Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s ESG goals of:
In the last year, EVPassport has successfully deployed 14 charging stations with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Both share a commitment to the expansion of sustainable infrastructure.
As the relationship continues to evolve, the focus will be ongoing optimization and maintenance of the existing stations as well as expanding the number of charging stations offered.
