Challenge

A central focus for the City of Hallandale Beach has been focused on achieving their sustainability goals: a 10% reduction in electricity consumption and a 15% decrease in gas and/or diesel fuel usage through the adoption of fuel-efficient or alternative fuel vehicles. Additionally, they’ve seen a growing demand for EV charging solutions from their residents. The City of Hallandale Beach began searching for a solution that balanced the operational feasibility and cost-effectiveness of integrating EV charging stations into their existing infrastructure.

Solution

To address this challenge effectively, EVPassport worked closely with the city to orchestrate a staged installation of five Howard charging stations. This strategic approach ensured a seamless integration into the city’s infrastructure. The deployment of these stations has enhanced the accessibility and convenience for EV users as well as aligned with the city's broader vision of fostering a sustainable and environmentally conscious community.

The City of Hallandale Beach is poised to continue expanding their partnership with EVPassport. As the initial phase focused on installing five charging stations, the future holds the potential for further collaboration. The city envisions expanding the number of charging station to continue contributing to cleaner air, reduced carbon emissions, and a more sustainable community.
